If you want to show your current location on a map or search maps near you, location services on your device or browser are required to be ON.
If you get an error message like "Turn on location service to allow Stroly to determine your location" pops up on your screen, please follow the next steps to change your settings.
※ These are general instructions on how to set up location services. Depending on OS and versions of the application browser, setup ways can differ. Please refer to each device type for more details.
※ If your current location is not showing even though location information services are on, or if the location information doesn't be shown within a certain timeframe, please click HERE.
iOS(iPhone, iPad)
Step1:Enable Location Services on Browser(Safari, Chrome)
- Open your iOS's Settings app.
- Tap [Privacy] > [Location Services]
※Make sure that Location Services is ON - Tap [Privacy] > [Location Services] > [Safari Websites]
- Tap [Allow Location Access] > Set to [While Using the App]
- Open the Stroly map in the browser and reload
- When a dialog [Allow "https://stroly.com" to access your location while you are using the app?] appears, select [Allow]. If the current location is not displayed without a dialog (or you cannot search for a map near your current location), try step 2.
Step2:Enable Location Services on Stroly.com
- Open your iOS's Settings app
- Tap [General] > [Reset]
- Tap [Reset Location & Privacy]
- Type in your passcode.
- Tap [Reset Settings].
- Open your Stroly map on a browser and reload
- When you see the dialog [Allow access to location], select [OK] or [Allow only when using this app]. Then, when a dialog [https://stroly.com wants to use your device's location] appears, select [OK].
Android
Step1:Enable Location Services on Browser
- Open Android's Settings app
- Tap [User settings] > [Security & Location] > [Privacy]
- Turn on the switch for [Use Location]
- Open your Stroly map on a browser and reload
- When a dialog [https://stroly.com wants to use your device's location] appears, select [OK] or [Allow only while using this app]. If the current location is not displayed without a dialog (or you cannot search for a map near your current location), try step 2.
Step2:Enable Location Services on Stroly.com (Chrome)
- Open Chrome App
- Tap [Settings] > [Advanced] > [Site settings]
- Tap [Location] and turn on the switch
・Turn on [Location]when it's blocked
・If you find https://stroly.com under [Location] > [Blocked], tap the URL to allow [Location access] - Open Chrom and access to your Stroly map
- When a dialog [https://stroly.com wants to use your device's location] appears, select [Allow].
Computers
Chrome
- Open Chrome. At the top right, click [Settings].
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select [Advanced].
- Under [Privacy and security], click [Site settings].
- Click Location. Make sure to toggle [Ask before accessing (recommended)] to ON.
- If stroly.com is under [Block], click [Permissions] > [Location] to change the status from [Block].
- Open Chrome browser to access your Stroly map.
- When a dialog[Stroly.com will use the current location information. Is that OK?] appears, click [OK].
Safari
- Open Safari > [Preferences] > [Websites] > [Location]
- If the access to stroly.com is [Deny], change it to [Ask] or [Allow].
- Open Safari browser, and access your Stroly map.
- When a dialog [The website “stroly.com” would like to use your current location.] appears, click [Allow].
If you use MacOS, you may be required to enable location services from System Preferences on your Mac before you turn it on Safari. Here is how you do it.
- Choose [System Preferences] >[Security & Privacy] > [Privacy tab]>[Location Service]
- Click the padlock icon in the lower-left to unlock the settings.
- Check the [Enable Location Services] box.
Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer and access a Stroly map.
- If a dialog [stroly.com wants to track your physical location.] appears, click [Allow once] or [Options for this site]>[Always allow]. If an error message appears, proceed as follows.
- Internet Explorer > [Settings] > [Internet options] > [Privacy] > [Location]
- Click [Clear Sites]
